Press Release
Cheshire landlords urged to attend webinar on Renters’ Rights Bill
Landlords in Cheshire are being encouraged to join a webinar looking at the implications of the Renters’ Rights Bill.
The Renters’ Rights Bill aims to overhaul the private rented sector in England, granting tenants greater security and rights, while also imposing new obligations on landlords.
Key changes include banning Section 21 evictions, replacing fixed-term tenancies with periodic tenancies, and introducing new rent increase regulations and procedures.
The House of Lords’ Report Stage for the Renters’ Rights Bill will now be on Tuesday (July 1) after which it will return to the House of Commons.
With the major parties in the Commons and Lords having relatively few significant disagreements over the Bill it will almost certainly go for Royal Assent and become law before the Commons’ summer recess on July 22.
Leading Chester estate and lettings agent Cavendish is hosting the free 90-minute webinar on July 10 at 6:30pm.
Landlords will get the latest updates regarding:
- Legislation Updates: Discover the latest changes to landlord regulations and how they’ll impact your responsibilities and rights as a landlord.
- Compliance Best Practices: Learn how to stay on top of legal requirements to avoid fines and protect your properties from potential disputes or legal action.
- Strategies for Maximising Rental Income: From rent regulations to tenancy management, we’ll show you how to keep your rental properties profitable.
- Market Trends and Insights: Get a detailed update on the UK property market and what to expect in the coming months.
David Adams, Managing Director of Cavendish who will host the webinar with fellow director Nicola Blake, said: “There is a lot at stake for landlords with the new legislation and this webinar is the chance for those with property portfolios to stay informed and be proactive in protecting their rental business.
“We’ll cover lots of ground including showing landlords how to stay compliant and avoid fines and keep their portfolios safe by understanding the latest legal requirements.”
